Building Better Spaces Together: Community Partnerships in Action

How INSTALL Floors and Sonus Flooring helped improve Independence House.

A Home Should Feel Like Home

A home should be safe, welcoming, and comfortable.
Thanks to the generosity of longtime community partners, Independence House recently received a major flooring upgrade that will improve the living environment for the people who call it home.
Homeward Bound extends heartfelt thanks to INSTALL Floors and Sonus Flooring for helping make this project possible.

The Power of Community Partnerships

For more than a decade, INSTALL Floors has been a valued community partner, donating time, expertise, and labor to support Homeward Bound’s mission. Their team’s commitment was once again on display as they removed aging carpet and flooring, prepared the space, and installed beautiful new flooring throughout Independence House.
The project was made even more impactful through the generous material donation provided by Sonus Flooring. Together, these contributions created meaningful improvements that residents will enjoy every day.
While flooring may seem like a simple renovation project, improvements like these help create safer environments, easier maintenance, improved accessibility, and a renewed sense of pride in one’s home.

Creating Lasting Impact

Projects like this remind us that strong partnerships create lasting impact.
They demonstrate how businesses can make a tangible difference in the communities they serve and how collaboration helps expand what’s possible for nonprofit organizations.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this project.
Thank you to INSTALL Floors for your decade-plus partnership and continued commitment to Homeward Bound.
Thank you to Sonus Flooring for your generosity.

Most importantly, thank you for helping create spaces where people feel comfortable, valued, and at home. Because belonging starts with having a place that feels like home.
