Employer Contributions & Vesting Provisions

Homeward Bound may make a Matching Contribution on your behalf if you make Salary Deferrals to the Plan. The Matching Contribution will vary depending on the number of years you have worked for us. For this purpose, a Year of Service is based on Elapsed Time.

  • 1 year of service: Matching Contribution equal to 1% a discretionary percentage
  • 2 years of service: Matching Contribution equal to 2% a discretionary percentage
  • 3 years of service: Matching Contribution equal to 3% a discretionary percentage
  • 4 years of service: Matching Contribution equal to 4% a discretionary percentage

Benefits Available to Eligible Employees

The following benefits available to employees in a position regularly scheduled a minimum of 60 hours per pay period.

Homeward Bound offers a flexible health insurance option through Gravie’s ICHRA program, allowing you to shop for and select a plan that best fits your personal and family needs. You can compare multiple carriers, provider networks, and prescription coverage to build a plan tailored to you. HBI contributes monthly toward your premium, helping offset costs while giving you greater control over your healthcare choices. This contribution is based on your age and family size.

Educational Benefits

Homeward Bound offers a generous education scholarship available to employees in a position regularly scheduled a minimum of 20 hours per pay period working towards a degree to help advance in a career at Homeward Bound.

Homeward Bound also has a partnership with Rasmussen College. Homeward Bound employees and their immediate family members are eligible for a 10% discount on their tuition at Rasmussen.

Homeward Bound has an additional partnership with St. Mary’s University with money off per credit taken. $50 off per credit per semester for Online Bachelor’s Programs $70 off per credit per semester for Master’s Programs and Graduate Certificates $90 off per credit per semester for Doctoral Programs
