Community Garden Volunteer Day

Join Us for Garden Project Day – June 6
Location: Plymouth, MN (On the corner of Xenium Lane N & Sunset Trail, 55441)

We need volunteers! Parents/guardians, community members, and corporate groups are all invited!

Just one hour of your time will make a HUGE difference.

Come ready to get your hands dirty on our  Garden Project Day!

This is a hands-on day of:

  • Moving materials
  • Building the garden
  • (Maybe) Planting! 🌱

Be prepared for anything – the project has many stages and we hope to accomplish some major milestones together on June 6.

🧰 What to Bring:

  • Garden gloves
  • Shovels and rakes
  • Wheelbarrow
  • Hammers and drills

🌻 Why a Community Garden?

We’re building a community garden in Plymouth for Homeward Bound, an organization serving individuals with disabilities across 22 homes in the Twin Cities.

This garden will be a space where residents can:

  • Plant and harvest flowers, herbs, and vegetables
  • Connect with neighbors and volunteers
  • Enjoy time outside in a welcoming, inclusive space

This initiative supports HBI’s three main goals:
#BeautifyHBI | #RecreationReboot | #EatWell-LiveWell

❤️ What’s in It for the Community?

This isn’t just for the residents—we believe our entire community will benefit from:

  • Resident and volunteer programming
  • “Adopt the Garden” partnerships
  • Business and community group involvement
  • Active strategies that support emotional, physical, and social well-being
  • Let’s grow something meaningful—together.
