Community Garden Volunteer Day
Join Us for Garden Project Day (part two) – June 26
Location: 13522 Sunset Trail, Plymouth, 55441
We need volunteers! Parents/guardians, community members, and corporate groups are all invited!
Just one hour of your time will make a HUGE difference.
Come ready to get your hands dirty on our Garden Project Day!
This is a hands-on day of:
- Moving materials
- Building the garden
- (Maybe) Planting! 🌱
Be prepared for anything – the project has many stages and we hope to accomplish some major milestones together on June 6 and June 26th.
🧰 What to Bring:
- Garden gloves
- Shovels and metal rakes
- Wheelbarrow
- Hammers and drills
🌻 Why a Community Garden?
We’re building a community garden in Plymouth for Homeward Bound, an organization serving individuals with disabilities across 22 homes in the Twin Cities.
This garden will be a space where residents and their staff can:
- Plant and harvest flowers, herbs, and vegetables
- Connect with neighbors and community volunteers
- Enjoy recreation in a welcoming, inclusive accessible space
- Engage in active strategies with staff that support emotional, physical, and social well-being
This initiative supports HBI’s three main goals:
#BeautifyHBI | #RecreationReboot | #EatWell-LiveWell
❤️ What’s in It for the Community?
This isn’t just for the residents—we believe our entire community will benefit from:
- Volunteer and service programming
- “Adopt the Garden” partnerships
- Business and community giving
Let’s grow something meaningful—together.
