Get ready to lace up your sneakers—or roll along with us—for Made in the Shade 2025, an inclusive, joy-filled 5K that supports the vibrant lives of people with disabilities across the Twin Cities.

This cherished event brings together six partner organizations with a shared mission:

Homeward Bound, Phoenix Residence, Wingspan Life Resources, PAI, EGH, TSE, and Partnership Resources Inc.

Each step you take helps create moments of joy, pride, and connection for the individuals we serve.

Why We Walk: Supporting the Recreation Reboot

Made in the Shade has always been about creating meaningful moments—whether it’s a trip to a ballgame, a night at a concert, or a simple outing with friends. Traditionally, the money raised by each home goes directly toward helping the individuals we serve do the things that bring them joy: attending community events, catching a local sports game, purchasing much-needed items for their homes, or simply sharing a fun outing with their peers.

This year, we’re taking that joy a step further with the Recreation Reboot, our boldest recreation initiative yet.

We’re asking families, friends, and community supporters to rally behind our biggest recreational initiative yet, with a top priority:

🚐 A brand-new Recreation Bus – A dedicated vehicle to help residents access concerts, sporting events, festivals, and community experiences across the Twin Cities.
🎟️ More trips to events, festivals, and inclusive programs
🧩 Increased access to adaptive and community-based activities
🎉 Spontaneous fun—just because they deserve it

Every dollar raised helps make these experiences possible—moments that create joy, build connection, and offer the freedom to choose how to spend time, just like anyone else.
