ART Abilities: Celebrating Creativity and Community at Ridgedale Library
October 19, 2026
Creativity brings people together, and our recent ART Abilities reception at Ridgedale Library was a wonderful reminder of just how meaningful it is to share our residents’ talents with the community!
Homeward Bound residents, family members, and friends gathered at Ridgedale Library to celebrate the artwork created by individuals we support. The afternoon began with time to visit with loved ones before heading upstairs to explore the artwork displayed throughout the library.
One of the highlights of the reception was seeing our residents alongside their own artwork. There were plenty of smiles, photos, and proud moments as everyone took time to appreciate the creativity and individuality reflected in each piece.
Beyond the artwork itself, the reception created opportunities for conversation, connection, and time together. Residents enjoyed visiting with family members, friends, and one another while sharing their work with the broader community.
A Special Thank You to Our Community Partner
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Dominique, Associate Librarian at Ridgedale Library, for helping coordinate this special reception and temporary exhibit. Partnerships like this create opportunities for our residents to share their interests, express themselves, and participate in community spaces where their contributions can be seen and celebrated.
See the Artwork for Yourself!
The ART Abilities exhibit is currently on display throughout Ridgedale Library through November 30, 2026!

We encourage our Homeward Bound community, families, friends, and neighbors to stop by and enjoy the artwork. Each piece offers a glimpse into the creativity and unique perspectives of the individuals we support.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the reception and helped make this celebration so special!
At Homeward Bound, opportunities like ART Abilities are about more than creating art. They’re about self-expression, belonging, and making sure everyone has opportunities to share their talents with the community.
