Planting Seeds of Wellness at the Plymouth House Community Garden
Welcome to our latest Sponsor Spotlight, where we celebrate partners who make our mission possible. This month, we’re honored to highlight Darling Little Farms, our major sponsor and collaborative partner for the Plymouth House Community Garden — a cornerstone project of our Eat Well Live Well initiative.
Together, we’re transforming underutilized outdoor space into a thriving community garden that feeds the body, nurtures the soul, and empowers our neighbors with the skills and confidence to grow fresh, healthy food for themselves and each other.
Our Partner in Growth: Darling Little Farms
Darling Little Farms brings generous support, deep urban farming expertise, and an unwavering belief in food access and nature as a path to healing. Their partnership helps us advance our mission: increasing equitable access to nutritious food, reconnecting people to the land, and strengthening community wellness.
Meet Emily, Founder of Darling Little Farms
At the heart of Darling Little Farms is Emily, a passionate urban farmer, certified sustainable horticulturist, and lifelong educator. Emily received her training through the UMN Farm at the Arb program and has mastered the art of growing big in small spaces — producing over 600 pounds of food in just 1,000 sq. ft. in a single season!
Emily’s work is guided by a simple but powerful belief:
“Access to nature and healthy, fresh food is a basic human right.”
Through Darling Little Farms, Emily offers:
-
Affordable, professional-quality urban farming training
-
Personalized garden consulting and design
-
Community workshops and resources to transform overlooked urban spaces into micro-farms that nourish body and mind
Rooted in the Same Mission
Our Eat Well Live Well program promotes food as medicine, gardening as therapy, and education as empowerment. Darling Little Farms shares these same values by:
-
Turning urban plots into bountiful micro-farms
-
Expanding access to fresh produce and green space
-
Teaching practical gardening skills for lifelong wellness
Together, we are:
✅ Growing access to healthy food
✅ Creating therapeutic outdoor spaces
✅ Equipping community members with the skills to thrive
Growing a Better Future, Together
We are deeply grateful to Darling Little Farms for their leadership and partnership. Their support helps us create spaces where people can gather, learn, heal, and grow — one garden at a time.
Thank you, Darling Little Farms, for helping us plant the seeds of wellness, community, and belonging.
