Homeward Bound Joins Give to the Max Day 2024 to Support #BeautifyHBI Fundraising Goals!
Homeward Bound is thrilled to participate in Minnesota’s annual Give to the Max Day on Thursday, Nov. 21. But you don’t have to wait—Early Giving is open now, starting today, Nov. 1!
In 2023, your generous support raised nearly $5,000 during Give to the Max Day. This year, we’re aiming even higher to make a lasting impact! All funds raised will support our #BeautifyHBI Campaign, dedicated to enhancing the comfort, accessibility, and safety of the homes our residents rely on.
What is #BeautifyHBI?
Homeward Bound provides safe, welcoming homes for 91 individuals with disabilities across 22 properties in the west metro area. To keep these homes accessible, comfortable, and safe, many need essential repairs, energy-efficient upgrades, and enhanced accessibility. Our #BeautifyHBI Campaign is tackling these needs with focused efforts that include:
- Vital Repairs to ensure safety and comfort in each home
- Accessibility Improvements for ease and dignity in daily living
- Energy-Efficient Upgrades for long-term sustainability
- A New Maintenance Garage to help us care for homes, vehicles, and equipment over the long haul

Maximize Your Impact on Give to the Max Day
Every donation through GiveMN.org makes us eligible for special prize grants from the Give to the Max Day prize pool, generously supported by the Bush Foundation. On Nov. 21, you could help us win:
- $500 Early Giving Golden Tickets daily from Nov. 1–20
- $500 Golden Ticket Prizes every 15 minutes on Nov. 21
- $1,000 Hourly Golden Ticket Prizes each hour on Nov. 21
- $6,000 Power Hour Prizes for the top three organizations raising the most between 10–10:59 a.m. and 10–10:59 p.m.
- $10,000 Super-Sized Golden Ticket grand prize, drawn from all gifts made between Nov. 1–21
Dozens of regional prizes will also be awarded throughout Greater Minnesota, supported by regional foundations like the Initiative Foundation, Southwest Initiative Foundation, and more.
