River Cruising

Cruise of a Lifetime

Five Homeward Bound individuals, along with their staff, enjoyed a beautiful day cruising down the St. Croix on June 9th. The first ever boat cruise was last year. It was such a fun experience that Foundation Board member Peggy Neale and her husband Ryne graciously invited guests back. Peggy and Ryne arranged the day out on their yacht for the lucky passengers and their staff.

Everyone, including their boat neighbors, was so kind with helping the individuals make their way onto the boat. The real fun began once they were off land. Steering the boat was a highlight for a few of the individuals. The beautiful scenery was a plus!

The morning of the ride was forecast to be overcast, but the sun peeked out, just for them! The impending afternoon rain held off, until they arrived back to the marina. But Peggy and Ryne kindly let everyone lunch on their boat! They had set up a lovely spread and their boat neighbors grilled while the boat was out cruising. As a result of Peggy and Ryne’s generous hospitality, we hope to have the opportunity to cruise again! Please check out all the photos!
