October 14, 2024
Justin is very person centered and provides the attention an care to the people he supports in a way they want to be supported. One person enjoys when Justin reads to them. Others enjoy when he goes on walks with them. When someone new was going to move in, he ensured everything was ready for them. He is flexible and polite and always checks in with other staff to see if they need anything before he leaves.
David began his career as a DSP in 2015 working in various Homeward Bound homes (Brooklyn Park, Lee, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake and Atwood) with different individuals that he still serves today. His nursing service day in and out has been truly appreciated as a team player and leader at Atwood.
David treats his co-workers and individuals with the most righteous respect. He is extremely dedicated and hardworking, bringing a positive attitude to work. He makes outstanding efforts to address the needs of the individuals we serve as a priority. All co-workers enjoy working with him and the individuals we serve love seeing him come to work. For example, David will help individuals with video calls and phone calls to their families to address any challenges that may come up. Daily communication with the families is a highly important part of the work we do. John, the PM at Atwood, said that he can always count on David to show up to work on time and pickup shifts in need and that he also helps train new staff . John further stated, “David has been a key part of my success at Atwood helping to create a positive environment.”Jusu Konneh is a remarkable team member who consistently demonstrates his dedication to both the individuals he supports and his coworkers. Families have expressed their appreciation for Jusu’s engaging nature, often commenting on how much lighter and more joyful the atmosphere feels when he is around. His ability to connect with individuals on a personal level fosters a fun and positive environment that enhances the quality of life for everyone in the home.
Jusu’s strong work ethic is evident in his willingness to step up whenever needed, even if it means adjusting his schedule. In one instance, he rearranged his availability to help a fellow staff member avoid an exhausting triple shift. His selfless attitude doesn’t stop with individuals; he is equally dedicated to supporting his coworkers, often volunteering to cover shifts or be reassigned to different locations without hesitation.
Jusu’s flexibility and teamwork are exemplary, and he approaches every task with a positive “no problem” attitude, regardless of the situation. His commitment to the well-being of both individuals and staff makes him an invaluable asset to the team, and his contributions are deeply appreciated by everyone he works with.
