Building a Learning Ecosystem

Homeward Bound Inc. at the 43rd Annual St. Louis County Health & Human Services Conference

Homeward Bound Inc. presented at the 43rd Annual St. Louis County Health and Human Services Conference, where our Training Team led a workshop on “Designing Your Agency’s Learning Ecosystem.”

Grant Haley, Vice President of Operations, and Faith Noni, Learning and Development Manager, shared with health and human services professionals how Homeward Bound Inc. is transforming the training ecosystem through our #LeadershipAcademy. This initiative is designed to cultivate strong leaders within the field of disability services.

During the workshop, I guided participants through Homeward Bound’s real-life journey of building a training ecosystem from the ground up. We explored the key processes and strategies behind developing customized, in-house training modules that meet the unique needs of both our agency and external partners. Additionally, we discussed how collaboration and feedback shaped each phase of our development process.

Moreover, I was excited to share the practical steps we took, the challenges we faced, and the successes we celebrated along the way. The workshop therefore provided a clear roadmap for anyone looking to strengthen existing training programs or create new ones. As a result, participants left with practical tools to build a robust framework that supports growth, engagement, and long-term development.
