As the end of 2024 approaches, we are promoting a season of giving by combining Give to The Max Day, Giving Tuesday and our Year End Letter Campaign into a single campaign called BeautifyHBI complete with a signature launch event on November 26th.

At HBI, we’re on a mission to create safe, welcoming, and vibrant spaces for the 91 incredible individuals we serve in our 22 residential homes. These homes, providing around-the-clock care, form the heart of our community, where residents with varied abilities find stability, comfort, and a supportive environment they can call home. Our #BeautifyHBI campaign is all about enhancing these spaces so that each home reflects the dignity and joy our residents deserve.
The largest undertaking we have as part of the campaign is the raising of funds for the building of a new maintenance garage for our maintenance team as they will inevitably lose their current maintenance space with the sell-off of their current quarters located at the Brooklyn Park 24 bed ICF Facility where HBI has ended operations earlier this year moving residents into 3 new residential homes.
The Maintenance Team uses its headquarters to assist with the ongoing daily upkeep of 22 homes and a fleet of vehicles as well as ensures the quality operation and safety of lifts, wheelchairs, furniture and other important items that must be maintained to support the care provided to 91 residents served by HBI.

Why We Need Your Help
Capital funding allows us to address projects that require larger-scale investments but provide long-term impact. With the funds raised, we’ll be able to purchase materials, tools, and equipment that support both the maintenance garage and our overall #BeautifyHBI goals, including:
- Major Repairs and Updates: Funding will cover necessary repairs in our homes, ensuring each space remains safe, secure, and welcoming.
- Beautification Supplies: New paint, landscaping materials, and garden features to enhance our homes’ interiors and outdoor spaces.
- Facility Upgrades: The new maintenance garage will allow our team to organize and store essential supplies and equipment, allowing for faster, more efficient response times to any maintenance need.
